Oral health is an important element in overall human health. Oral health care begins at an early age, therefore the fi rst visit to dental offi ce is very important for the positive child’s attitude formation. The use of methods for controlling the behaviour of children in dental offi ce achieves gradual habituation of the child to the overall environment of the offi ce and its content, reduces the possibility for appearing of dental fear and anxiety, and shapes the child’s behavior that is cooperative and willing to undergo dental interventions. Achieving good communication with the child and parents, using empathy and the right approach at work achieves success in the treatment of the youngest patients to mutual satisfaction.
