Benign paroxysmal vertigo occurs periodically, starting from early childhood. It is the forerunner of migraines with onset in later childhood years. Our patient started with paroxysmal vertigo at the age of 18 months, lasting for 3 years. The onset of migraine was at the age of 5 years and 6 months. It is known that the average period in which episodes of vertigo happen is longer in patients who will develop migraine later in life. This case report shows that if a child has benign paroxysmal vertigo through an extended period, it is much more possible that a migraine will appear, and also that appearance will be earlier.
